. . . JUST SAYIN'

If time gets going by any faster I'll have to walk backwards to catch up!!

Well here it is Holiday time.  Thanksgiving already over and Christmas right around the corner -- like 10 days to the corner!!   Birthday come and gone -- 65 this year.  SS begins January 1 and first check comes mid February.  And January 1 I go to half time at my day job which gives me more time to do my art and leather work -- thank you Lord.   Damn, wasn't it just the other day I was turnin' 50 and exclaimed to myself that I had 10 years to get my ducks in a row.  Well it's been 15 and my ducks -- the ones still alive and somewhat able -- have flown South and the only things I have in a row are the aches and pains in my shoulders, back and knees -- old rodeo injuries.

I had big plans to be up and running by now but, like everything else, am far enough behind to bring it into next year before anything is ready to go.  I still need to get this Blog ready to open up and I need a bunch of photos for my Etsy page -- but it's closer today that it was last year!!

I hope all is well with everyone and things are winding up to be a good, peace filled, family centered, Holiday time filled with gratitude and love.  I know it can also be a difficult time for some.   My wish for those who struggle with heart ache and emotional pain this time of year, is that you are able to find one thing to help you smile and melt the ice of pain and hopelessness that holds you hostage.  I  pray that you all find the strength to just put one foot in front of the other and keep on headin' out into the journey no matter how hard it is right now.  God bless us all -- cause some of us really need it!

Ghost Wind Creations / Intro

Hi there . . .

Welcome.  Glad you stopped by.

Make yourself at home, take a look around and let me know if I can help with anything.

I've been doing various kinds of art work for awhile now and I would like to start sharing it with folks.  Hope you enjoy it.  You can even own some if you've a mind to.  I've done a variety of things in life to pay the bills but creating and working with my hands has always been a passion and a life saver. I got serious with it several years ago when, through a series of painful circumstances, it became clear that it was time to do something about a drug habit that was taking its toll on my life and family.  That's a story all by itself for another time and place.  I needed to do other things.  Something that would keep me busy and focused.  So, I returned to my art avocation and haven't looked back.  Now that I'm closin' in on retirement and will cut back hours on what has been my day job for more than awhile, I will have time to let this stuff start workin' for me, at least get some return on the hours and money I've fed into this adventure -- bout time too!! Mostly, I'll finally get to spend the time on what I love.

Much of the work I do is custom and special ordered, but there are some things currently available. Check out my ETSY store at www.GhostWindCreations.etsy.com (We're still working on it so I'm sorry for the delay) .  I have some jewelry items, wood spirit carvings, leather key fobs, western leather cuffs, scrimshaw and chip carving pieces available.  I do not replicate any of my designs, they are all one of a kind.  Anything you see that gives you an idea for something, can be custom made for you!  I would be happy to work with you on a design that is exclusively yours.

Anyway, look things over and check out the pages for specific information and explanations on the various art forms I work with.

Take Care and "be careful out there"
